Crullers, ice cream & coffee:
Thursday-Saturday from 9-3pm
ANNOUNCEMENT: PINCH BOXES
Going forward there will be no more Pinch boxes. I've decided to pivot from the meal kits into something more accessible that doesn't involve the complications of pre-ordering.
Over the next week I’ll be sorting out a Pinch fridge to go in the Maple Farm shop where you will be able to find all of my products; soups, pasta, pasta sauces, desserts, ice cream and, at some point, Pinch pies. The idea is pretty simple, you can create your own meal using Maple Farm produce and Pinch products. There will be a few staple products like pork ragu and St Jude & Blackcurrant ice cream, as well as rotating products depending on what’s available/in season. I will continue to serve crullers, coffee & ice cream in cones from Thursday to Saturday - the hours of which will be extended when the demand builds.
Please stay tuned for more info - I imagine this will be in full swing by next week - 18.10.21.
I want to give a huge thank you to those of you who have supported Pinch over the last few months!
Crullers are deep fried rings of choux pastry. Ours are made from Maple Farm flour, eggs and butter from Fen Farm up in Bungay. The different flavours are all inspired by Suffolk and will change from season-to-season. They will be served from Thursday-Saturday from 10-4pm (or until sold out).
From 10-4pm every Thursday, Friday & Saturday we will be serving ice cream using the best Suffolk produce - even the cones are hand made using Maple Farm spelt flour & egg whites. This week's flavours include:
Fen Farm Mascarpone & Plum
St Jude & Blackcurrant Ripple
Mint Pump St Choc Chip
Pinch meal kits are prepared next to Maple Farm, a regenerative organic family run farm close to Aldeburgh. The farm produces an array of fruits and vegetables as well as old varieties of grains that are stone-milled on site, all of which will be used for the kits. The main focus of the kits is pasta, made from Maple Farm flour and eggs.
There will be a Pinch stall at the Aldeburgh Food & Drink festival on 25th & 26th September. Apart from selling crullers, ice cream, pasta and sauces it will be a good opportunity to find out more about the Pinch brand. Come and say hello!
Alice, born and raised in Suffolk, has worked in some of London's most exciting restaurants such as Kricket, Clipstone, Levan and Emilia, the latter as Head Chef. She has also spent time cooking in Amsterdam, Bangkok and India. The pandemic led her to take a step back from the London restaurant scene, move home to Suffolk and study Food Anthropology at SOAS. During this time, the idea for Pinch was born to showcase and celebrate the incredible local produce she was surrounded by.
Pinch is available for small, intimate events of groups of up to 15 people on Saturdays. Please email email@example.com for more info.
